there’s so much little things in the manga the anime omitted, partly to add more comedy and also TamaHaru scenes which didn’t do much for me in isolation and actually actively harmed the narrative and ship imo (*cough* last two episodes in particular) and this is literally the main reason why I want the entire manga to be adapted in a reboot

#Ohshc #the relationship dynamic are fully fleshed out #Kyoya feels different from his anime counterpart in a good way because he has a lot of traits that don’t make him come off #As the cool glasses wearing guy and emphasizes his shortcomings and indifference and aggression #Hani is the older big brother who always has so much advice and care for everyone but acts like he cares the most about cuteness #And sweets when he’s actually so insightful and smart #Mori is also so much more fleshed out in that he observes people like Hani but is also much more intentional in what he does #And doesn’t come across as a joke character just in the background as maybe the author saw him as #His family is fleshed out and he has his own interests separate from hani #Hikaru and Kaoru were done so well in the show and there’s more great writing later on in the manga #But their relationship with Haruhi is criminally understated #Like really? How did the anime convince me that Tam and Haru have a better friendship than her and the twins?#Listen the reason why I thought that was because I saw that Haruhi didn’t like him but she grew to respect and admire him over time #And the last few episodes convinced me of their good friendship that maybe could evolve into romance but #Then I wasn’t convinced of a romance and knew I needed something to tell me they’d work and the manga did that #But the manga also makes me not like the show as much lol #Tamaki is so much more stupid and understandable for Haruhi to not like and only tolerate not even respect #Which is what makes their progression so great because I follow Haruhi in coming to understanding and loving Tamaki for who he is #Begrudged acquaintances to lovers>>>>#If you read only the manga I swear to god people wouldn’t like HikaHaru as much not that I don’t like the idea of it #Seriously I have no beef with any ship in this because every character and dynamic are sooooo good
